For the second installment of my weekly 10 Seconds features I caught-up with Mark Weaver. Mark is an Atlanta-based graphic designer who's work has been featured on a number of art oriented blogs, including Booooooom, Hypebeast, and It's Nice That.
Check out the interview below...

Introduce yourself for the people who aren't familiar with you.
My name is Mark Weaver. I'm a designer and illustrator currently living in Atlanta.
When did art become of interest to you?
I became interesting in art very early on in my childhood. One of my earliest memories was sitting on the floor drawing dinosaurs and sharks.
After viewing the works that you have put together via your website (markweaverart.com), my favorite would have to be the photograph of the 'Bedford Motel'. Explain your inspiration behind taking that particular photo and what it means to you.
This motel was right next to an ice cream place that I used to frequent as a kid with my family. I remember seeing the sign when I was younger, but it didn't really stand out to me until I went there a few years ago. It has a lot of nostalgia tied to it.
If you could describe the inspiration behind all your works in 4 words what would they be?
Vintage, scientific, retro futuristic, exploration.
Who would you consider your favorite artist and why?
This changes from time to time, but I've always loved the work of Stanley Kubrick. I love his attention to detail.
What would you consider your favorite form of art? (art, photography, illustration)
Probably illustration, but I like to combine different forms of art into one piece.
Out of all your works, which one means the most to you and why?
Wow tough question. That's like asking someone to pick their favorite child! If I had to pick one, I would say Earth http://www.flickr.com/photos/markweaver/3458509348/.
Give us a brief description of the art scene where you currently reside.
To be honest I'm not really sure because I haven't gotten involved in it that much.
What are your plans for the future?
To keep creating and pushing myself to be more creative.
Where can my readers find your artwork if they would like to purchase?
You can purchase my limited edition screen prints here: http://markweaver.etsy.com/
